70% of young Belarusians would like to leave country

Polls show that about 70 per cent of young Belarusians under 25 would like to leave the country.

The governments of the EU and the USA actually save Belarus from demographic disaster by visa barrier. If everyone, who is wishing to, left the country, it would face labour shortage in five years, “Narodnaya Volya” newspaper notes.

Lack of qualified middle and upper managers is acute in the country. One of the reasons is outflow of qualified managers to the neighbouring countries. Most of them go to Russia. Specialists think our managers are profitable for the Russian business, because they are ambitious and can work in harsh administrative conditions. Moreover, they agree on lower salaries than dwellers of Moscow and St. Petersburg.
