Russian oil price for Belarusian enterprises risen by $100

The cost of oil imported from Russia has risen for Belarus by almost $100 per ton in June as compared to the previous month.

As a source in state agencies informed PRIME-TASS website, not Belarusian enterprises buy oil at $625 per ton as compared to $530 per ton last month.

As informed earlier, the Belarusian government increased export duties for oil since June 1, following the agreement with Russia on equalize customs fees rates in the two countries. Now export oil due is $398.1 per ton, $280.5 for light oil products, and $151.1 per ton for dark oil products.

The Belarusian government has undertaken to increase export customs duties for oil and oil products to reach the Russia’s level in line with an intergovernmental agreement on measures for trade and economic cooperation balancing in the sphere of oil and oil products export signed in Moscow on January 12.

By this agreement Russia and Belarus defined their export customs duties’ rates for oil exported to Belarus. The customs duties’ rate in 2007 was calculated with the use of coefficient 0.293 of the customs duty for crude oil exported to the non-CIS countries.

According to this agreement, in 2008 the customs duty for oil exported to Belarus is defined with the coefficient 0.335 of the crude oil duty exported outside the customs union borders, and in 2009 with a coefficient 0.356.
