Medvedev hasn’t decided yet to meet with Lukashenka

Russian president Dmitry Medvedev is to carry out a number of bilateral meetings with the CIS leaders in the framework of the informal CIS summit in Petersburg on June 6-7.

As Interfax was informed by Russian President’s aide Sergei Prikhodko, meetings of D. Medvedev with Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko and Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili are planned in particular.

Besides, talks of the president with Moldoval President Vladimir Voronin, Turkmen President Kurbanguly Berdymukhamedov, Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, Uzbek President Islam Karimov, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Kyrgyz President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, Tajik President Emomalii Rahmon.

A meeting with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev is not planned in Petersburg, as the two leaders had help large-scale talks during the visit of D. Medvedev to Astana.

The question of a meeting with Alyaksandr Lukashenka is not dealt with yet.

Speaking about events of Petersburg Forum in which the Russian president is to take part, S. Prikhodko noted that in particular a meeting of the head of the state with CEOs of large foreign companies is planned, and CIS companies too. More than 100 business leaders are invited to the meeting. An address of D. Medvedev at the plenary session on the first day of Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum is expected as well.
