KGB officers detained Paval Kuryanovich, activist of the “European Belarus” civil campaign, and Alyaksandr Serhienka, member of the political council of the United Civil Party. They were guarded for questioning after the search.

Paval Kuryanovich’s sister Palina told to Radio Svaboda, her brother had called to her on the investigator’s phone and said he would be kept in a pretrial jail as a suspected in a criminal case (malicious hooliganism), which was instigated after a homemade bomb blast at the concert on 4 July.

Activist of the “European Belarus” civil campaign Paval Yukhnevich told to Radio Svaboda, phone of Alyaksandr Serhienka was unavailable, too. Alyaksandr’s friends think he is in the pretrial jail.

Friends of Anton Koipish, activist of the youth unregistered organisation “BUNT” (Rebellion), think he was guarded to the pretrial jail after the interrogation.

An apartment of young activist from the Belarusian Popular Front party Illya Bohdan is being searched now. KGB officers look for material evidence proving his implication in blast at the concert on 4 July.

So, there are about 10 oppositionists behind the bars, detained on suspicion of bomb explosion at the concert on 4 July.
