Signatures for authorities’ candidates gathered on order of ideologists

On an order of ideological department of the Baranavichy city executive committee, a telephone message was sent to Baranavichy schools suggesting to appoint five people from each school to gather signatures for MP candidate nomination.

Teachers said that they had had a meeting in the assembly hall of the builders’ club of building trust #25. A chair of the meeting was Aleh Savos, head of the personnel department of the Baranavichy city executive committee. Aleh Savos ordered to gather signatures for nomination of an authorities’ candidate. Anatol Vankovich, authorities’ candidate, who is going to run for parliament in the Western Baranavichy constituency #5, wasn’t present at the meeting. General-major Anatol Vankovich is a chief of staff of air defense troops of Belarus. Anatol Vankovich is an acting member of the “house of representatives”, he is going to run for this post again. An initiative group for nominating a candidate was registered on 24 July, human rights center Viasna reports.

As it has become known, observer of the district commission of the Western Baranavichy constituency No 5 Viktar Syrytsa sent an application to head of the district electoral commission Alyaksandr Rusenchyk in order he check these facts and take an appropriate decision.
