Competitors of pro-regime candidates pressed by KGB

A potential candidate to deputy in Shklou constituency No. 90, an activist of the movement “For Freedom” Ryhor Kastusyou has informed that though the election district commission wasn’t interfering him, there was pressure by law-enforcing agencies on him.

Kastusyou finds that the conditions of his participation in the campaign for him and his opponent, the chairman of Shklou regional executive committee, are unequal.

“No problems have been caused by the district commission. But very many problems were created by law-enforcing agencies, to my family, to some members of my initiative group. For instance, policemen, KGB men many times visited the apartment of Barys Vyrvich, the leader of my initiative group. They even fingerprinted him and took saliva test from him,” the political said to the European Radio for Belarus.
