At today’s consultations on the course of the “elections” Alyaksandr Lukashenka stated that observers at polling station should listen to “bosses”– chairmen and members of election commissions.
“I would like to underline that in precinct and district commissions, in the Central Election Commission, members of commissions and their chairmen are in charge. Everything should be done as they say,” the Belarusian ruler said.
“We have been dancing after the whistle of observers and the West, so that some chairmen of local commissions shrug shoulders and say: maybe they would continue to be in control,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted.
The Belarusian ruler has underlined that attempts of anybody to substitute activities of chairmen and members of election commissions by their initiative should be suppressed. “We are not hiding anything from anybody, but the chairman of the commission is the master. If you want to solve any problem, go to the chairman and solve,” he said, adding that the commissions are responsible for the process and results of the vote.
“No observers will be allowed to interfere in the situation,” Lukashenka underlined once again.
He expressed satisfaction over the course of preparation to the election. “Many say that the campaign was too quiet and peaceful, But I say: thank God it is so,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted.
As we have informed, out of 70,000 members of election commissions only 47 are representatives of democratic parties and organisations.
