District election commissions won’t allow the registered independent observers to be present at votes counting on September 28.

Observers of the Belarusian Helsinki Committee, officially registered in Hrodna constituencies, won’t have an opportunity to take active part in carrying out their task – control over votes counting in records of polling station commissions.

None of them received permission to control the procedure on September 28, which is evidence of closed “election process” and possible rigging, Raman Yurhel representative of the BHC of Hrodna region, thinks.

Only one observer, registered in Hrodna rural constituency, was permitted to monitor votes counting. The rest were offered to visit polling stations on September 29 and learn the final voting results.
