Interior Minister Uladzimir Navumau and chairman of the State committee on property Ryhor Kuznyatsou are reprimanded.
As A. Lukashenka’s press-service has informed, they have been reprimanded for “failure to take appropriate measures to ensure control over enforcement of law when allocating land in the cottage settlement of “Krynicny” to Interior Ministry employees”.
Such a decree was signed by A. Lukashenka on January 5.
It should be reminded that on November 13, Lukashenka criticised high ranking officers of the Ministry of Internal affaires for possessing land and construction of luxurious villas at a session on anti-corruption. As Alyaksandr Lukashenka said, they wilfully violated the law to get land in the Minsk district.
“I call their names for your notice: first deputy minister Alyaksandr Shchurko, deputy minister Viktar Filistovich, former deputy ministers Radzyukevich and Hlukhouski, head of Department of Finance and Logistic Melnikau, director of the Department of Citizenship and Migration Ivanchykava, former head of the Penal Department Kouchur, former aide to the interior minister Karpeichyk, doctor of the hospital of the Ministry of Internal Affaires Burko, and officer of internal affaires department of the Minsk city executive committee Novik,” the head of state said.
According to him, “under the pretence of summer community, which has never existed, they built a housing estate of 2- and 3-storey houses”. Law enforcement officials paid only from 10,000 to 25,000 ruble for the land.
