Former presidential candidate Alyaksandr Kazulin and leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka were detained at the border crossing point “Kamenny Loh”.

“We continue to meet unlawful ungrounded actions against us when crossing the border,” Anatol Lyabedzka told in an interview to ucpb.org.

It has been the third search of the politician for the last day.

“On October 13, I was searched on my way to Warsaw, where I met with the director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights Janez Lenarcic. I was searched on my return trip. I am going to Lithuania now, where I am to have a number of working meetings. I was searched this time, too. They don’t give any grounds for the searches,” Lyabedzka said.

According to him, his car is also carefully searched. “I think it will be easier for me to cross the border by foot or on a bicycle,” the UCP leader said.
