Kolya Lukashenka drives $20,000 car (Video)

Lukashenka’s youngest son has recently been noticed driving an electric car.

However, the price of the car is rather high. Vehicles, similar to the toy of Belarusian ruler’s son, cost about $20,000, “Salidarnast” reports.

Kolya was noticed riving the car during the visit of Moscow journalist Mikhail Gusman to Belarus. All newspapers wrote about his visit to Lukashenka’s residence in Drazdy: ““A smart driver Lukashenka junior, five-year-old Mikalai, drove the guest to the table on an electric car.” Later, Gusman made a report about the car of Lukashenka’s son in his programme “Formula Vlasti” (Power Formula).

It should be noticed that electric cars are really exotic in Belarus. The country neither produces nor sells such vehicles. Electric cars are seldom imported in the country. As “Narodnaya Volya” newspaper learnt from the State Customs Committee, there is no electric cars import statistics.

Lukashenka’s press service found it difficult to say where the electric car of Lukashenka’s son was imported from, who is a manufacturer, and how mush it costs.

“I don’t know when the car was bought and how much it costs,” president’s spokesman Pavel Lyohki said. “I saw it for the first time when we came to Drazdy with Gusman. But I remember the president once said they drive an electrical car in Drazdy. I don’t know how many cars they had, I saw only one...”

Kolya Lukashenka’s car seems to be rather expensive. Similar electric cars in Russia are sold at about $20,000. Officially, the Belarusian ruler hasn’t had any vehicles until recently. His income declaration before elections 2006 didn’t mention vehicles. However, in 2001, a motorbike Minsk produced in 1992 was recorded in the declaration.

The head o state may have become richer and now can afford an electric car. Moreover, his son is able to appreciate expensive means of transport. He could be seen riding a costly Harley Davidson with his father.
