22

Regular soldiers, cadets and reservists will be limited in using mobile phones.

The rapid growth of mobile communication clients made the Ministry of Defence to establish the rules of the use of mobile phones for regular soldiers, cadets of military academies and reservists called up for training, “Yezhednevnik” reports.

According to the Regulation of the Ministry of Defence #47 of 03.09.2009, all above mentioned categories of servicemen are allowed to use mobile phones only in certain cases in order to protect military secrets. A young soldier will be unable to call his family in hard moments and complain at his life in the army.

Soldiers will be allowed to use mobile phones only in specially established spare time, on weekends, on the way to the place of service or treatment, outside a military unit on holidays. Regular soldiers, cadets and reservists will be obliged to give their phones to the military unit’s office or other services designated by the unit commander.
