Belarus still among most corrupt states

Transparency International again ranks Belarus among the most corrupt countries.
The annual Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) issued on November 7 ranks Belarus 139th out of 180,” BelaPAN reports.
The CPI composite index measures corruption perception in public sector of a state. It draws on expert opinion surveys in every country. The Corruption Perception Index ranks 180 countries on a scale of 0 to 10, where 0 is perceived to be highly corrupt and 10 indicates low levels of corruption.
The least corrupt countries are traditionally New Zealand (9.4), Denmark (9.3), Singapore and Sweden (9.2) and Switzerland (9).
The top 5 most corrupt states are Afghanistan, Iraq, Myanmar, Somalia, Sudan, and Chad.
