Workers of Minsk Tractor Plant can take dumplings instead of wages

On August 12, a new shop and a canteen opened at Minsk Tractor Plant.
Vareniki and dumplings will be main, but not the only dishes here. The first testing was free, but worker won’t need to overpay for dumplings in the future, because they will be sold without trade mark-ups, STV TV channel reports.
Workers will be able to eat dumplings in the canteen or to take them home on account of future salary.
We remind that this practice has recently been imposed at many Belarusian enterprises. For example, workers receive a part of wages in cheese and milk at Barysau Plant of Automotive Electrical Equipment.
The plant was working erratically since the beginning of the year. In august the plant’s main consumers – Russian automobile giants – stopped. Car producers in other countries seem not to be interested in starters and generators from Barysau.
In this situation the plant administration decided to give BATE workers a kilogram of butter and cheese on account of payment.
