Head of Brest District Executive Committee confessed to the falsification of elections

The official stated that one had allegedly to lower the number of people who voted for the Belarusian dictator by 16 thousand people.

During the press conference of the Chairman of Brest District Executive Committee Konstantin Sumar for representatives of regional Mass Media which took place on September, 30, the Head of the region remembered unexpectedly about the previous election campaign in Belarus and made a sensational statement, “Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections” report.

Answering to the question about the measures of authorities during the campaign of the election of the President of RB which started in Belarus, Konstantin Sumar stated that he insisted that the campaign would go maximally democratically.

For this purpose the alterations were introduced into the Decision of the Brest State Executive Committee concerning the picketing places where signatures collection in favor of potential candidates for President of RB is prohibited.

However, after that the Chairman of the District Executive Committee remembered unexpectedly about the presidential elections in the year of 2006 and said that then so many people voted for Alyaksandr Lukashenka in Brest region “that we had to lower the number of people who voted for him by 16 thousand people”.

Actually the Chairman of District Executive Committee confessed that the results of the presidential elections in the year of 2006 were fabricated in Brest region. Earlier exclusively the dictator talked on this topic at the meetings with journalists.
