A Voter’s Corner with official information and documents of the Central Election Commission (CEC) was created in the office of Brest customs service.
The corner is equipped with a computer connected to the Internet that, as the customs service officials think, will help the staff to understand the situation ahead of the election, the campaign “Human Rights Activists for Free Elections” reports.
It is representatives of the local unit of BRSM, an organization that doesn’t hide its warm feeling towards Alyaksandr Lukashenka, who took charge of educating customs officers on the issues regarding the election and exercise of the voting right. As the press service of Brest customs service says, the BRSM members “explain to the youth the importance of voting, participating in political activities in the country and call to express their personal position and feel how the role of the young generation is significant for the modern society.”
The press service found it difficult to answer whether propaganda materials of all registered presidential candidates would be presented in the Voter’s Corner.
