KGB makes printing houses refuse to take orders of the presidential candidates

17

Printing houses refuse to take orders for printing campaign materials of presidential candidates.

Raman Glushchuk, the lawyer of the election campaign of Yaraslau Ramanchuk faced with such a problem while trying to place an order for printing campaign materials, the website ucpb.org informs.

“Today, when I was making telephone calls to different printing houses in Minsk, I faced with the following problem: some printers are simply afraid of taking such orders. Representatives of the firms, whom I contacted, informed me that the KGB made repeated calls to them and said that in case of appearing an order for printed products from the presidential candidates, all the orders are to be coordinated with the KGB. Moreover, absolutely all information up to the layout is subject to coordination.

And as the orders for printed materials, according to the legislation, should be printed only on the territory of the Republic (they can not be printed abroad), it is likely that candidates will not be able to prepare campaign materials for their election campaign”, - the activist Raman Glushchuk said.
