“Wall of Shame” was erected near Minsk City Executive Committee

On December, 10, the World Day of Human Rights Protection, members of force structures arrested 15 participants of a campaign in Minsk.
Activists were trying to attract attention of the society to the violation of constitutional rights of Belarusian citizens, “Belarus News” writes.
Representatives of “The Citizen” campaign erected “Wall of Shame” opposite to the buildings of the Minsk City Executive Committee – a stand with dozens of copies of applications for campaigns, organization of which was refused, attached to it.
The police stated that it’s forbidden to arrange picketing of state institution without permission.
Then the participants holding posters “We were forbidden to talk loud”, “We were forbidden to gather in more than 3 persons”, “We were forbidden to drink coffee” started to move along the Nezalezhnasti avenue towards Kastrychnitskaya Square.
The police and people in civilian clothes arrested part of the demonstrators, but some of them managed to reach Kastrychnitskaya Square, where the campaign was over.
