Belarusians are a great nation

The fate of our country is to be decided not at computers, but on the square.

The candidate for presidency in Belarus, Andrei Sannikov, has made an address to the nation.

“Belarusians are a great nation, and in difficult moments of history they have always taken matters into one's own hands. We are thankful to the leadership of Russia who at a certain moment raised the questions which are important for Belarus: about abductions of oppositional leaders; who told the truth about the corruption nature of Lukashenka’s regime, about the inability of the Belarusian leader to reach agreements.

The Russian leadership has simply decided to relieve tensions in its relations with Lukashenka. I do not think that they expect the Belarusian dictator to change suddenly.

But the future of the country is to be decided by Belarusians themselves. I see how the sentiments of people have changed. People want changes and are ready to fight for their freedom. And I would like to repeat once again that the future of the country is not decided in the kitchens, not at computers, but on the square. We are making history! It is made by us, and together we shall win!” Andrei Sannikov stated.
