The Belarusian dictator has given in and started to advertise the rally on the Square on December 19 at 8 p.m.
“Naturally, they are crying all the time: “Square, square, square!” I would like to tell you once again: we have warned parents, we have warned professors of universities, technical school, colleges, lyceums, schools. We have warned about possible provocations, which can occur on this day, including the ones in the places of mass gatherings. We have warned everyone. There is the law. One should remain unprovoked, as they need a picture, at least a picture now, that the authorities are so “undemocratic”, that Lukashenka has come to power again “treading on bones and blood,” Interfax-Zapad quotes the words of Lukashenka in Minsk on Wednesday at consultations on the issues of the presidential campaign with law-enforcing agencies.
“We understand it very clearly. We must not get exposed, whatever the circumstances. One should act in accordance with the situation,” Lukashenka continued.
“Go in peace (the demonstrators) to the places where you have been allowed to go, places that have been allocated for this. You are welcome to go there, talk, hold meetings. But if we are speaking about a violation of the law, the reaction must be adequate,” he underlined.
