Statkevich is planning to arrange a meeting of solidarity in Hrodna today

The presidential candidate wasn’t provided Hrodna Regional Philharmonic Hall to meet with the voters.

Mikalai Statkevich has been coordinating this issue with the City Election Commission for three weeks, but in the end he was refused. Then the politician stated that he was determined to conduct a meeting on the stairs of the Philharmonic Hall December 16, at 6:30 p.m.

Frightened that people may come to the streets, the commission offered Statkevich another place – much smaller and situated in one kilometer away from the Regional Philharmonic Hall and even offered him a bus to take the voters from the initial place of meeting. Statkevich refused and stated that he was determined to meet with the voters there where people were invited to before.

As the presidential candidate told the website charter97.org, there will be a meeting in Hrodna Regional Philharmonic Hall today, and then all the participants will walk along the streets to the place, provided by the commission.

“As it happened so, that today is the Day of Belarusian solidarity, I call the election agents of all the presidential candidates to come to the Philharmonic Hall. All together we will arrange a meeting of solidarity, and then we will walk along Hrodna”, Statkevich said.
