Darya Atroshchankava: Sasha never complains

Alyaksandr Atroshchankau, spokesman of a presidential candidate in Belarus Andrei Sannikov, as many others detained after the events of December 19, is charged with organizing mass riots.

“I understand that this story will be dragged on,” the wife of Sannikov’s spokesperson Darya Atroshchankava said to “Narodnaya Volya”. “Yesterday the lawyer of my husband called me after the interrogation. Like many others, Sasha (Alyaksandr) is charged under two parts of Article 293 of the Criminal Code – organizing and participation in mass riots.”

As said by the lawyer, the young man feels satisfactory and keeps high morale. His good shape helps him to tolerate the difficult incarceration conditions. Alyaksandr used to play football three times a week to keep fit.

“Sasha never complains about anything,” Darya confessed. “He knows that his loved ones are worrying, and he won’t show weakness. He is an athletic guy, and I am sure that he has resources to go strong.”

Darya tries her hardest to enquire about her husband as often as possible; to bring parcels and supports relatives of other prisoners.
