Lukashenka gets support from bots

The Belarusian dictator has joined the race for ratings on the web.

Lukashenka’s supporters decided to start their storming of the virtual space from Vkontakte, a social network which is the most popular among Belarusians, Electroname.com reports.

A group “For Lukashenka! For flourishing Belarus!” created just a few days ago, immediately gained 20,000 participants. Then the growth slowed down, and now about a dozen of new participants join the group daily. The closest competitors have fallen way behind. An on-lone group of Yaraslau Ramanchuk, created more than half a years ago, has a little more than 10,000 users, and a group of Andrei Sannikov, created a month and a half ago has 7,000 participants.

Considering that an analogous group in support of Lukashenka, founded much earlier, had been able to attract about 500 participants, the success of the new group of Alyaksnadr Lukashenka is even more impressive.

Unfortunately, the secret of success is revealed when one gets permission from the administrator for joining the group. More than 70% of its participants’’ accounts are fake. They are accounts of attractive girls with unusual names, which copy each other by 65%. Other participants have either joined the group to look at real living supporters of Lukashenka, or citizens of Russia with certain political convictions.
