Tanks “plough” asphalt in Minsk center (Photo, video)

Rehearsals of the military parade in Minsk held ahead of May seriously harm the city budget.

On May 3, roads were blocked along the whole route of the military machinery traffic: military town Uruchcha–Osnovatelei Street–Starynouskaya Street–Independence Avenue– Surganov Street–Bangalore Square–Bahdanovich Street–Masherau Avenue.

Traffic of all vehicles, expect for public transport moving against the column traffic, was blocked on Independence Avenue. Traffic for all vehicles in both directions is closed in Surganov Street from Independence Avenue to Kolas Street.

Photos and video show how tanks are destroying the asphalt coating in Surganov Street. Such events are organized in the country annually, but this seems to be small money even amid crisis for the military-minded authorities.
