Political draftee Andrei Tsyanyuta threatened by criminal case

Andrei Tsyanyuta, who is in the army now, is threatened by a criminal case for disrespect to the state symbols and insult of the president of Belarus.

In his copybook for ideology work Andrei Tsyanyuta had written that the real symbols of Belarus are the historical white-red-white flag and Pahonya coat of arms. As the European Radio for Belarus informs, the young man had also written that he finds Lukashenka’s rule illegitimate.

Colonel Pavel Pishchulau gave the guy three extra duties for that, and threatened by an official warning from the prosecutor and criminal responsibility for insult of the president and state symbols of Belarus.

According to Tsyanyuta, there was no insult. He had not insulted anyone publicly, and the things written in the copybook are not offensive at all, and there could not be any to criminal responsibility for them.
