Deputy Minister to add Polish experience to German one

20

The Deputy Interior Minister of Belarus, who earlier stated that he had learnt to disband demonstrations in Germany and to block work of journalists, goes to Poland.

According to BelaPAN, Deputy Interior Minister of Belarus Yauheny Paludzen is to take part in the celebration of the 91st anniversary of Polish police creation.

Apart from official celebration events, Deputy Interior Minister Yauheny Paludzen is to visit the leadership of the Chief commandant's office of Polish police. Representatives of the policy agencies are to discuss issues of expanding cooperation in crime control.

“During our visits to Germany we adopted the experience of German police, who work at street actions of right, left and green movements. The press can’t film faces of policemen and demonstrators. Only wide shots are allowed. I think we should use this experience,” he said in October 2009 after a brutal disband of peaceful rallies of protest in Minsk, when riot policemen were beating not only demonstrators, but journalists as well, and prevented journalists from filming the events.
