Court has not believed policemen for the first time

30

The court of Kastrychnitski district of Minsk dismissed the administrative case against activists of “Tell the Truth!” Pavel Sehau and Vyachaslau Mukha.

BelaPAN was informed about that by their lawyer Tamara Sidarenka.

The activists were detained on August 5 near the railway station. Policemen asked them to show documents for identification. They did not have documents, so policemen took them to a community police office, where their things were searched. Leaflets of “Tell the Truth!” campaign were found. In three hours Sehau and Mukha were released. A report was drawn up against them for petty hooliganism, for alleged use of foul speech.

However judge Syarhei Hermanovich questioned the fact that the young people used foul speech, as there were no witnesses, despite of the fact that the arrest took place in a busy spot. He decided to dismiss the administrative case in the absence of evidence.
