It is related to the incident with the Russian Embassy in Minsk.

The Chief Directorate of Internal Affairs tightens security measures in the area of the Belarsuain Embassy, said deputy head of Moscow police Vyacheslav Kozlov at a briefing in Moscow on Tuesday.

“We always take relevant measures in such cases. In particular, we have placed our operations detachments closer to the Embassy,” V. Kozlov said answering a question of Interfax about the attack against the Russian Embassy in Minsk.

He specified that the Belarusian diplomatic mission is guarded by one of the regiments of the Chief Directorate of Internal Affairs of Moscow. Besides, a number of employees are held in reserve and could be employed if needed.

“We see no reason to employ them so far,” V. Kozlov said.

At the same time he added that patrolling courses of police patrols who are on duty in the area of the Belarusian embassy have been reduced.

“For instance, while a patrol team passes some area once an hour, now they visit it twice in half an hour or even more, as the patrolling course had been reduced and moved closer to the embassy,” Kozlov said.

As it was informed, on August 30 at about 10.20 p.m. the unknown persons threw through the railing two fire bombs onto the compound of the Russian Embassy in Minsk. One of the bombs hit the rear window of a service car, and as a result the car was burnt. Investigation is under way.
