Russian experts: Statements of Belarusian leader are absolute nonsense

A leading expert with the independent Center for Political Trends in Moscow has commented on the recent statements by Lukashenka.
We remind that the Belarusian leader stated today that Russian secret services are allegedly implicated in the incident near the Russian Embassy in Minsk.
“I think Lukashenka is acting according to the well-known psychological reaction called displacement. The matter is that a very interesting informational line is observed in the Russian-Belarusian conflict.
Observers state that Russia is trying to discredit Lukashenka in the eyes of the Belarusian electorate, which is generally rather pro-Russian. And the incident with fire bombs could have been provoked by the Belarusian side (which was not necessarily an organizer, but they knew and had not prevented that), in order to show Russia that it is not so popular in the Belarusian society, and Belarusian partisans, national avengers, are throwing Molotov cocktails to the embassy in the night. Such a story is quite possible.
Lukashenka’s suspicions are absolutely unwarranted here. Russia does not need that, as it cannot have any claims to Belarus, either political or economic ones. Lukashenka’s’ suppositions are absolute nonsense, and the second variant, about a Belarusian provocation has a rational kernel,” Pavel Salin said in an interview to a website “Aktualnye kommentarii”.
