Czech Republic ready to admit all Belarusian political refugees

The Czech Republic promises not to surrender them to Belarus despite of Interpol’s extradition requests. Opposition activists would be able to receive visas in a streamlined procedure.
It has been stated by the Czech Interior Minister Radek John, the European Radio for Belarus informs.
“The Czech Republic knows that the KGB has great possibilities for situation monitoring, and as soon as procedures for rendering political asylum start, an extradition letter from the Interpol is to appear immediately. The Czech Republic will not extradite Belarusian political refugees. Moreover, the Czech Republic is ready to shelter and defend all Belarusian political refugees who had been affected by the crackdown related to the presidential election on December 19, 2010,” representatives of the Interior Ministry say.
Among the participants of the meeting with the Czech Minister of Internal Affairs Radek Jon and the director of the Asylum and Migration Department at the Czech Ministry of Internal Affairs Tomas Haisman there were Syarhei Kalyakin, Stanislau Shushkevich, Alyaksandr Kazulin, Dzyanis Sadouski and Viktar Ivashkevich.
