Dzmitry Uss: I don’t know if Rymasheuski’s evidence impacted my punishment

The presidential candied said about record of interrogation of Vital Rymasheuski, the leader of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, attached to his criminal case.

During an online press conference on Radio Svaboda website, Dzmitry Uss answered a question about the role of another former candidate, Vital Rymasheuski, in the sentence to him.

Dzmitry Uss said: “Criminal cases against Statkevich and me contain records of interrogation of Rymasheuski, where he says we had a meeting and expressed his opinion on my words that Lukashenka should be arrested. That was written in the records. I do not know of this impacted my punishment, but that’s how it was.”

Dzmitry Uss was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison; Statkevich was given 6 years of imprisonment.
