Greatly changed Chavez met with Sheiman (Photo)

The previous night a representative Belarusian delegation returned to Minsk from Caracas.

The delegation was headed by Viktar Sheiman, Lukashenka’s aide for special commissions.

As informed by “Narodnaya Volya” with a reference to the news agency Prensa Latina, in the framework of this visit a number of new agreements were signed between Belarus and Venezuela. One of the agreements envisages construction of brickworks in Guatira, state of Miranda. In the energy sector the sides have agreed upon preparation of the feasibility report for the project of oil pipeline linking Barquisimeto and Barinas; as well as gas deposits exploration and development near Lake Maracaibo, the state of Zulia.

It is also reported that Belarus is to offer Venezuela technologies for manufacturing medical drugs used for curing cancer, in particular, skin cancer.

By the way, in Caracas Viktar Sheiman has made a loud statement quoted by many local mass media, that “our relations with Venezuela have reached the level of strategic relations.”

On October 3 Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez met with members of the Belarusian delegation.

By the way, because of Chavez’s illness, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad cancelled his visit to Venezuela. Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s visit to Caracas, as Venezuelan mass media inform, has not been cancelled yet, and according to preliminary reports, it can happen in December, if Hugo Chavez would be able to receive the guest certainly.
