Krambambulya concert banned as well

“The black list” of prohibited music bands obviously exists, no matter how the authorities are trying to deny that.
A concert of “Krambambulya” band was to take place on St. Patrick’s Day in Minsk.
However, two days before the gig it was informed the concert was banned. Lyavon Volsky, the front man of the project, expressed gratitude to the authorities “for vehement PR.”
On the concert on March 17, on St. Patrick’s Day. Lyavon Volski promised to present his new album. “Krambambulya” had been working on it for a year. But today news arrived the performance is cancelled.
“It is clear it has been forbidden. We are on the black list,” Lyavon Volski said to Generation.by.
“We express our gratitude to the culture department of Minsk city executive committee of the Ministry of Culture for the crazy PR of “Krambambulya”, he added.
“Krambambulya” was put on the anonymous black list with 56 other Belarusian and foreign musicians, writers and actors.
Earlier it was informed that concerts of two other Belarusian groups from the list were banned. Thus, a concert of “Lyapis Trubetskoy” in Homel on March 13 was cancelled because of the decision of the Emergency Ministry. A concert of Zmitser Vajtsushkevich was banned in the Puppet Theater in Brest on March 18 without any explanations. This week it turned out that a concert of Neuro Dubel tribute concert planned for March 24 in “Reactor” club, had been banned.
