General Prosecutor’s Office: Criminal bears no relation to law-enforcement agencies

This was said Maksim Varonin, the deputy head of investigation department at the General Prosecutor’s Office, on the air of ONT TV channel. As noted by the representative of the General Prosecutor’s Office, “the criminal bears no relation to the law-enforcement agencies,” Interfax-Zapad reports.
“As for the motives, I must say that the criminal was not alone. The main motive was mass killing of people,” Varonin said. Eh confirmed that a girl had been detained in the blast case.
“Yes, this is true,” he said answering a question if a woman really was among the detainees.
KGB deputy head Viktar Vyahera said in turn that he wasn’t ready to say if the accused belong to a party. He called on opposition politicians to think how their words can influence the youth.
Vyahera said that the KGB obtained a video during the investigation showing a youth activist of a party, which is officially registered in Belarus, wearing a fascist uniform says: “We must go to Minsk and organize some blasts there.”
As for an investigation period, Varonin informed that it could take some months.
Speaking about the investigation period at a press conference on Thursday Varonin reminded that there were “about 200 injured people. We need to question everyone, forensic examination must be carried out, which is possible only after people are discharged from hospitals.”
