Belposhta cancels 2368 money transfers to Russia

Russian Post informs its clients about receiving an official request from Belposhta, the Belarusian postal operator, to cancel 2368 money transfers.

The Belarusian postal operator says it has requests of senders to revoke their money transfers.

These transfers were sent from Belarus to Russia and haven’t been withdrawn yet. In accordance with the Rules of Postal Services, Russian Post must send them back to Belposhta in order the latter to return them to senders.

Paying other transfers from Belarus and receiving money at offices of Russian Post to transfer it to Belarus are available in normal mode.

Earlier, on April 21, 2011, due to a failure of Belposhta to perform its financial obligations provided for by the Agreement on Exchange of International Wire Transfer, Russian Post warned Belposhta on possible termination in paying out money transfers from Belarus if the debt of the Belarusian postal service to the Russian postal operator is not discharged.
