Belarusian MFA uncovers plot in OSCE

The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accuses Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ažubalis of to deliberate and artificial fueling tensions around Belarus within the OSCE.

“Numerous comments by Foreign Minister of Lithuania Audronius Ažubalis regarding allegedly growing «self-isolation» of Belarus which he further extends both to the “government and people» cannot be deemed anything else but an attempt on the part of the Lithuanian Chairmanship of the OSCE to deliberately and artificially fuel tensions around Belarus within that organization and to achieve some goals pursued by the Chairmanship,” the Belarusian MFA says.

“I believe that the Chairmanship is aware in substance that Belarus has been and remains an active member of the international community and is open to constructive co-operation within the OSCE. Specific proposals on the issue has been officially filed with the current Chairmanship,” MFA press secretary Andrei Savinykh said.
