Belarus cuts wine import from Moldova

Belarus imposed a ban on importing alcohol from Moldova since April 4.

This statement was made by Moldovan Prime Minister Vlad Filat, who was ordered to find out a reason for this decision.

“Figure out if wine really does not meet standards, or there’re political motives. Relations between our country and Belarus must be good, but both sides must demonstrate them,” RIA Novosti quotes Filat.

Belarus is the only importer of Moldovan unbottled wine.
