Wife of Dzmitry Uss denied meeting with him

The wife of imprisoned presidential candidate Dzmitry Uss has been denied meeting with her husband in the prison hospital.

“I applied for visiting him today, but I learnt five minutes ago that I was denied the meeting. They said they would not allow meetings until hearing a cassation appeal,” Yauhenia Uss told Radio Svaboda.

As for reasons for taking her husband to the Republican Prison Hospital, Yauhenia Uss thinks he “had to undergo medical examination which he cannot have in the colony”.

We remind that Dzmitry Uss was sentenced to 5.5 years in prison for taking part in a protest demonstration against the flawed presidential elections on December 19, 2010.
