Palazhanka given 11 days of arrest, Yaromenak – 12

Young Front activists Nasta Palazhanka and Uladzimir Yaromenak were detained in Minsk on an anniversary of proclaiming Chase court-of-arms and white-red-white flag state symbols of Belarus.

The young people were going to hang out several national flags in the town, but were detained by police.

The Tsentralny district court of Minsk sentenced Nasta Palazhanka to 11 days of administrative arrest and Uladzimir Yaromenak to 12 days of arrest. The Young Front members were accused of violating the rules of holding and organizing a mass event (part 3 of article 23.34 of the Code of Administrative Offences). The court ruling was delivered by judge Natallya Vaitsakhovich.
