Minsk dweller goes on dry hunger strike against tortures of Sannikov

In this way Andrei Nikalaeu (Nikolaev) wants to show support to his candidate.

Mikalaeu decided to start the hunger strike after a press-conference of Iryna Khalip, at which the wife of the political prisoner and presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov told about her meetgin with her husband, Euroradio reports.

“I learnt from mass media that Andrei Sannikov, a presidential candidate, has written a petition for pardon under pressure. But it was delayed. Accordingly, I want to see my candidate at large,” Mikalaeu said.

He plans to hold his hunger strike at home until the moment of Sannikov’s release. After the events of December 19, 2010 Andrei Mikalaeu served three days of arrest, was interrogated by military counterintelligence, and his entire computer equipment was confiscated.
