KGB launches purge among company chiefs

The Mozyrsol company CEO was detained by the Homel region KGB department while accepting bribe.

As BelaPAN news agency learned from the press office of the Homel region KGB department, the company director, 57, was caught red-handed in his office when he was accepting an illegal monetary reward.

He was charged with taking a bribe on an especially large scale for favourable settlement of the issues in his competence.

The KGB opened a criminal code over part 3 of article 430 of the Criminal Code (accepting bribe). The article provides for up to 15 years in prison and confiscation of property.

The detainee has been placed in the KGB remand jail. The investigation is in progress.
