Turkcell show interest in SOOO MTS

The SOOO MTS pre-sale presentation is held today, 2 Nonmember.

Thirty-five participation applications have been field by Belinvestbank, Belarusbank, BPS-Sberbank, VTB Bank, etc., the telecom companies such as velcom, Xerox Office in Belarus. The Turkish telecom operator Turkcell has sent a large delegation for the presentation.

Invitations to attend the pre-sale presentation have been sent to 45 companies including major telecom operators working on the telecom market of the CIS and foreign countries.

The presentation is designed to search for potential buyers of the stake in the Belarusian mobile operator. The state plans to sell a 51% stake in the authorized fund of the company at least for $1 billion. The auction does not provide for the determination of the terms of sale, just the starting selling price. The asset will be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

Last year, Belarus hosted a similar presentation. Then invitations to take part in the event were sent to about 50 companies from around the world.
