Prisoners are stirred up against Frantskevich

The colony´s administration puts about provocative rumors about the political prisoner.

The political prisoner’s mother Tatsiana Frantskevich told the charter97.org web-site about that. She recently returned from a long meeting with her son in the Ivatsevichy colony Wolves Holes:

“The administration is pressuring Aliaksandr via other prisoners. It demands for no one to communicate with him and puts about rumors that he allegedly reports to the administration about other prisoners. I think all the political prisoners are now undergoing that”.

According to Aliaksandr Frantskevich’s mother, the prisoners, who do communicate with her son, are threatened with penalties:

“They try to isolate him in order for no one to communicate with him. There is a pressure on the people whom he is friends with. The administration threatens to put in isolation wards those, who keeps communicating with my son, and start practicing “different treatment” of them”.

Tatsiana Frantskevich believes that it is being done in order to force the political prisoner to write a plea for pardon:

“Now they already do not tell directly to write a plea, they want them to write it on their own initiative. But Aliaksandr is not going to write anything, he holds on well”.

We would remind that in May last year Aliaksandr Frantskevich was sentenced to three year in high security prison. Human rights defenders recognized Frantskevich and his comrades Mikalai Dziadok and Igar Alienevich as political prisoners and demand their immediate release.
