Déjà Vu: 1990s returning (Video)

754

Conflicts with ticket inspector in public transport were more than common in the collapsing Soviet Union in the early 1990s.

The video that charter97.org received from a reader shows a ticket inspector trying to rudely detain a young mother with children, who didn't buy a ticket. The incident happened on November 26 in Navapolatsk. One of the passengers tried to defend the family and seized the ticket inspector by the hair. The overall level of aggression is shocking.

Signs of today's Belarus can bee found in the footage – the conflict escalates after the ticket inspector says “You'll be taken into custody”.
