Lithuania prepares response about teddy bears for Belarus

Lithuanian Deputy Attorney General Darius Raulušaitis has made the statement.

The preparation is taking long because it was necessary to collect information, DELFI reports. The deputy Attorney General has not commented on the contents of the reply.

A Swedish plane crossed the Lithuanian-Belarusian border and landed teddy bears in our country on July 4. Notes with appeals of the freedom of speech were attached to the toys.

Belarus asked Lithuania to render legal assistance in this issue. Lithuania started the investigation of this incident only on August 14 -  a month after the flight. It is conducted by the Security Service of the state border of Lithuania and is controlled by the Attorney General's Office.
