The Investigation Committee completed investigation of a criminal case against the border guard who missed the “teddy bear” attack.
“We completed the investigation of a criminal case on accusation of a soldier of the border troops of committing a crime relating to violation of the border guard duties,” Interfax-West news agency learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Investigation Committee on Wednesday.
“The investigation found out that nationals of the Kingdom of Sweden on a light aircraft flying at extremely low altitude from the Lithuanian Republic illegally crossed the state border of the Republic of Belarus near the village of Baranavichy of Iuye district at about 5:57 a.m. 04.07.2012. The plane crew dropped teddy bears over the territory of Belarus,” the Investigation Committee reports.
It should be reminded that the “teddy bear assault” was organised by Swedish PR firm Studio Total to support free speech in Belarus.
