Lyabedzka: KGB preparing “General Zaitsau’s group” for parliamentary elections
19- 6.02.2012, 12:07
Not allowing the “General Zaitsau’s group” to the “house of representatives” was among the key topics at today’s press conference held by the United Civil Party (UCP).
Asked by Radio Svaboda party chairman Anatol Lyabedzka clarified his thought concerning the group.
“It is generally accepted that the election is being prepared by head of the Central Election Commission Lidzya Yarmoshyna. But she is rather a public spokesperson for the electoral campaign. It is the secret services, first of all the KGB headed by General Vadzim Zaitsau, who take particular decisions who should be admitted to the “parliament” and who will be given red light.
The authorities decided to form a pseudo-opposition group in the “house of representatives” in the election this year. It will consist of people having direct or indirect links to the secret services.
Why do the authorities need it? To improve relations with the West and cadge the necessary loans.
If you are interested in the issue, you are welcome to visit our conference, where you’ll be told other things relating to the elections.”
