Toilet bowl in front of Belarusian embassy in Prague (Photo)

Cars carrying furniture and posters “Belarus: evicted human rights” appeared near the gates of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the morning of February 6.

This was the start of a performance to support Belarusian human rights activist Ales Byalyatski and Viasna human rights centre.

Cabinet units, chairs, tables, computers, lamps and a toilet were unloaded from the cars in front of the Belarusian embassy. All furniture pieces were decorated with posters which read “Belarus: evicted human rights” and “Freedom for Ales Byalyatski”. It was a reaction of organizers of the action to the verdict against Ales Byalyatski and the court decision to confiscate his property, including the office of Viasna human rights centre.
