Lukashenka ordered to raise wages for force ministries personnel

On February 6 Lukashenka received the State Secretary of the Security Council Leanid Maltsau (Maltsev) and Defence Minister Yury Zhadobin.

BelTA reporter has been informed about that by the press-service of the Belarusian ruler.

“I am interested by the situation in the Armed Forces, army modernization, including the numerical force of the army, issues of financing, the second direction which is to be discussed by us, is personnel and money allowance. And the most important issue is housing construction for military men. We had agreed upon working out a decision procedure in this issue,” Lukahsenka said. – In this connection we have an agreement with Russian president. I had sent him a letter on necessity to allocate additional funds for Belarusian military at the expense of different directions of cooperation ofBelarus and Russia. And he promised to help in that.”

As notedby Lukashenka, the two countries have in fact a common army, and they face the same tasks. But the size of money allowance in Belarus and Russia is different. Such a situation should be changed, the president demanded.

Yury Zhadobin, Defence Minister, reported that in general the Armed Forces achieve the tasks they face. In last November anoter draft campaign was held.

Leanid Maltsau noted that the Armed Forced should be able to withstand the challenges abd threats of the modern world. It is necesary for the personnel and organisational structure, armaments and the level oftraining to meet this task.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka ordered to elaborate the issue of increasing the money allowance not only for the military, but for workers of security minitries in general.

Besides, he encharged ministers with a task to solve the problem of providng housing, including service housing in military towns, for enlisted personnel.
