Opposition member fired for public activity in town

Dzyanis Dashekvich, a coordinator of the organizing committee to create Belarusian Christian Democracy party in Rahachou, was fired from the Rahachou district consumers society.

The activist said it to the BCD press service.

A labour contract with him was not prolonged on March 13.

Dzynis Dashkevich is one of the most active members of the democratic movement in Rahachou. He was persecuted by the authorities several times. An administrative case was opened against him on the initiative of the editor of a local newspaper. Nevertheless, Dzyanis does not stop his activity. He carries out a campaign to return Rahachou the right to host Dazhynki harvest festival.
